No Fear Of Cold Feet As York Hotel Manager Walks Over Hot Coals For Charity
Walk of Flame! Best Western Monkbar Hotel director June Nesley at Sunday’s charity hot coal walking.
A York hotel manager wasnt going to let a case of cold feet stop her taking part in an event for a local charity. (Sunday, October 10)
For Best Western Monkbar Hotels June Nelsey was one of scores of brave individuals who walked on hot coals to raise money for Carolines Rainbow Foundation.
The mind-over-matter event, which took place in the city centre hotels car park, was organised by fire walking instructor Lisa Clifford.
June said: This had to be the scariest fund-raising event I have ever taken part in. Lisa ensured I was in the right frame of mind and that I was totally focused on the challenge ahead.
“Thank goodness I didnt lose my concentration and walked over the red hot coals without getting any burns to my feet. If I had cold feet before the challenge, I certainly didnt by the end of it!
