York couples looking to tie the knot are being urged to “steel” themselves away to the Monkbar Hotel next month (November) as it stages its annual wedding fair.
The renowned annual event, being held on Sunday, November 1, is now in its eleventh year, a landmark that traditionally sees gifts of steel being swapped between married couples.
Over the last decade, thousands of couples and family members have visited the venue, which this year sees more than 30 businesses specialising in the wedding arena showcasing their services, including bridal wear, cakes, flowers, stationery, balloons and wedding accessories.
Monkbar Hotel director June Nelsey said: “We are delighted that the event has reached its eleventh year and has, throughout its history, been a source of guidance for so many people in the planning of their ideal wedding.
“Our 2009 fair is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. Within the hotel we have a wonderful selection of wedding services so that brides and grooms-to-be can ensure that their big day is perfect.”
June added: “The fair also presents a great opportunity for couples to see for themselves just why so many people choose the Monkbar Bar Hotel as their perfect wedding venue.”
