York’s Best Western Monkbar Hotel is the “p-lace” to be this Sunday (November 6) for couples looking to tie the knot.
The Wedding Fair which celebrates its thirteenth Anniversary, will seem see more than 30 local specialists displaying their individual services to make the wedding day perfect.
The symbol for the thirteenth anniversary is lace, which is the theme for the day.
And in addition to jewellery, cars, cakes, flowers, balloons and table decorations, there will be plenty of lace on display with wedding dresses and lingerie
Beginning at noon, the Monkbar’s Wedding Fair will also be an ideal opportunity to find out why more than 700 couples have chosen the venue for their celebrations.
Monkbar Hotel Director June Nelsey said: “The Monkbar Hotel’s Wedding Fair is an established diary date, and one that’s attended by hundreds of people each year.
“Our wedding fair seems to get more popular as each year gets by, which is due to the quality and quantity of local businesses exhibiting with us.
“And, as this is the fair’s ‘lace anniversary’, it would have been be remiss of us if we had failed to have a number of local business displaying clothing made or adorned with it.
“This is particularly fitting this year thanks to Katherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Her wedding dress, which was admired the world over, has ensured that delicate and intricate lace will once again feature in wedding gowns for years to come.”
